Car Audio subwoofers in home "How to"

today id like to take a minute and direct my attention to those of you who wish to know how to run your car subwoofers in home. i get many many requests on YouTube on how to do so, and here i will explain just how to do it. first off youll need a few things. to start with you'll need TWO stereo receiver's. one MUST have the RCA output terminal labeled "subwoofer out" or "sub pre-out". next you will need to have your woofers hooked up to your second receiver,as you'd normally hook up speakers. next thing you'll need is going to be a RCA mono to stereo splitter. this can be made or bought. it takes the subwoofer signal and will split it into two channels,Left and Right. these two RCA jacks will be plugged into your second receiver, which will be the one in which you have the subwoofers connected to. you may plug the two RCA jacks into any INPUT on the "sub woofer receiver" you'd like IE: DVD,CD,AUX etc.if you'd like to see a video demonstration of doing so please visit my channel on YouTube www.youtube.com/demonsparkx  i have MANY car audio and home audio related videos,as well as useful information throughout my comments section. please subscribe, watch and rate my channel videos as well if you felt this was help to you!

  1. good job ive been doing this for years mine is like this surround amp sub pri out into cd\aux left channel on second amp then tape pri out left into cd\aux right on second amp currently powering 1 dual 4 ohm voice coil 12" 300watts RMS 1 channel on each coil

i used splitters in the past and found i get cleaner sound this way
    less connections=less distortion

and if your second amp\sub amp is surround all 5 channels will be sub outs when on 5 channel stereo for driving more then 2 subs

you can also use right channel tape out for a third amp and so on
